Celebration of Awakening

Celebration of Awakening

It is a celebration of wisdom and compassion that promotes tolerance and world peace through inner peace. This is a family event unique, not only in the country, but in our continent.
This Celebration brings Tibetan culture to our local communities providing everyone the opportunity to experience the richness and wonders of the Himalayan region. Also, we invite local spiritual leaders from different religions in a forum for World Peace.

The celebration is an amazing opportunity of seeing “Padmasambhava’s Great Tanka of Liberation” (a unique work of tapestry with a Buddhist image) the biggest in the American continent. Also, the Healing Dakini Dance for World Peace will be presenting dances, music, and songs from Tibet.
Lama Lhanang Rinpoche created this event for the first time in 2003 in Pasadena CA at the USC Pacific Asia Museum.

The last edition of the Celebration of Awakening was on September 23th at WorldBeat Center and Centro Cultural de la Raza at Balboa Park. Know more.
